About the Studio
This is where luxury shows up messy...
and still looks hot.
House of Double J isn’t some stiff, white-glove studio that smells like rules and insecurity.
It’s real.
It’s raw.
It’s ridiculously good lighting...
with a side of snacks and “did I seriously just say that out loud?”
This space was built for the women doing all the things!
The ones who are tired as hell, running on caffeine & grit, and still choosing to show up for themselves.
Yeah, we do luxury here.
But not the kind that makes you feel like you need to “act right.”
It’s the kind that lets you breathe, swear, laugh too loud, and pose like you own every inch of the damn room... then hands you a mirror and reminds you that you’re f*cking unstoppable!
The world doesn’t hype women like us, so we built a space that does.
A space for the too-much, the too-loud, the too-bold, the “who does she think she is?”
This is where she finds out exactly who the f*ck she is.
Meet the Soul:
Katie Jefferies
Founder
Photographer
Coffee Addict
Katie is the creative force behind House of Double J. Part storyteller, part space-holder, and part chaos-wrangling toddler mom who runs on caffeine and fierce compassion.
She doesn’t just guide you, she gets you.
The nerves. The pressure. The part of you that’s never felt fully seen. She makes space for all of it, then shows you what it looks like when confidence finally stops asking for permission.
“You don’t need to change a thing. I’ll show you what’s already there.”
Katie’s a fiery Sagittarius with an Aries moon and Cancer rising... which basically means she’s 90% passionate chaos, 10% soft-side-you-didn’t-see-coming.
She’ll read your energy before you even speak, boss your poses like a pro, and still make space for the version of you that’s been hiding under layers of expectations and “shoulds.” She’s bold as hell, deeply intuitive, and a master at knowing when to push and when to hold.
One minute she’s yelling “HOLY SH*T YES!” mid-shot... the next, she’s grounding you in the kind of calm that makes you forget you were ever nervous.
When she’s not in the studio, Katie is either deep in the mountains pretending Wi-Fi doesn't exist, lost in a spicy book with zero shame, or chasing her tiny tornado of a toddler with a coffee in one hand and snacks in the other. She lives for that stretch from fall into the holidays. When the air goes crisp, the oven stays hot, and life feels like chaos wrapped in cinnamon and soul.

Meet the Glam Artist:
Kayla Webb
Kayla is the talent behind the glam experience at House of Double J. With a passion for hair and makeup that began at just 15 years old, she has spent years helping women look and feel their absolute best in front of the camera.
After beginning her professional training at the Aveda Institute, Kayla spent three years in Los Angeles working both behind the chair and on set with film and photography before returning home to continue building her career. Her experience in both beauty and photography environments gives her a unique understanding of how to create looks that not only feel beautiful in person, but photograph beautifully as well.
When she’s not creating stunning hair and makeup looks, you’ll likely find her spending time with her fiancé at the Renaissance Faire (full cosplay included), attempting to conquer the golf course, or tending to her garden.
With more than five years in the beauty industry, Kayla brings talent, creativity, and a calming presence to every session. Her favorite part of the job is helping women step into their confidence and see themselves in a whole new light.
Meet the House Queens
House of Double J isn’t just a studio, it’s a community.
And our House Queens are the women who help lead it.
These ladies are clients that have experienced what it’s like to be fully seen and celebrated, and now they help spread that same energy to every woman walking through the door.
They’re not models. They’re real women with real stories, just like you.
And they’ve claimed their crown!
Why House of Double J?
Some names are just names.
This one?
It’s blood, backbone, and soul.
House of Double J holds my past, my present, and everything I want this space to be for the women who walk through it.
It’s a nod to a new chapter, as I step into a new name, from Johnson to Jefferies, but even more, it’s a tribute to the people who built me. I wouldn’t be where I am without the quiet, constant support of my family. And at the heart of that is my dad, the original JJ, who passed away far too soon, but left behind a legacy of love, strength, and quiet wisdom. His friends still call him JJ, and this is my way of keeping that part of him alive.
This name is for him.
And for me.
And now... it’s for you, too.
Because Double J doesn’t just stand for initials.
It stands for connection.
For legacy.
For love.
The kind that shows up in tiny ways.
And the word “House”? That’s everything.
Because a house becomes a home when it’s built with heart, empathy, understanding, and care. That’s exactly what I want this studio to feel like for every woman who walks through the door.
This space was created for you:
to be held, seen, celebrated, and reminded that you are worthy of all of it.
That you can be both soft and strong.
That you don’t have to shrink to be beautiful.
That you’re already enough...right now, just like this.
That is why House of Double J exists.
